Prof. Wang Qingguo Lectures at College of Information Engineering

On May 27, Wang Qingguo, the professor of the University of Johannesburg and the academician of the Academy of Science of South Africa, was invited to deliver an academic lecture entitled “Control Design with Guaranteed Transient Performance: an Approach with Polyhedral Target Tubes” for teachers and students from the College of Information Engineering, ZJUT.


In the lecture, Professor Wang mainly introduced control design through the combination of the transient performance index of control systems. At the end of the lecture, the audience had an in-depth exchange of views about the content of the lecture.


Professor Wang Qingguo is an academician of the Academy of Science of South Africa and an A-grade professor of the University of Johannesburg. His research focuses on the modelling, estimation, forecasting, control, and optimizing of singular systems. Professor Wang has published more than 400 papers with over 16,000 citations. He is now the deputy editor of the periodical ISA Transactions.
