The Vice Presidentof University of Kentucky Visits ZJUT

On September 25, Sue Roberts, Vice President for International Affairs at the University of Kentucky (UK), and Rudolph G. Buchheit, Dean of the UK College of Engineering, together with two other colleagues, visited Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT)


During the meeting, Professor Yu Xiaofen, Vice President of ZJUT, said that ZJUT greatly valued the cooperation with UK. She hoped that the cooperation and communication of the two sides could develop into a new period through this meeting and the signing of the cooperative memorandum. The programs, including the joint training of students, student exchange and teacher exchange, were urged to be implemented as soon as possible in order to propel the all-round and in-depth cooperation between the two sides.


Vice President Roberts introduced the education of UK. He pointed out that it had been the third meeting in this year, and such a frequent communication was beneficial for the two sides to carry out the cooperation in various levels and fields.


Vice President Yu and Vice President Roberts formally signed the inter-university memorandum of cooperation on behalf of ZJUT and UK.


The University of Kentucky, founded in 1865, is a public research university in the U.S. with about 35,000 students and 12,000 faculty and staff, and boasts two Nobel laureates.
